What To Expect

Picture
"My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ..."
James 2:1 (ESV)
We know how nerve-wracking it can be to visit a church for the first time. We want you to know that our worship services are open to all. You will be greeted at the door,  and a deacon will park your vehicle if needed. We are a diverse congregation -  you'll find the elderly and the young; you'll find people of different races;  you will find people wearing three piece suits, and you'll find people wearing their blue jeans. You'll also find that we don't let these differences separate us.
Because of our respect for God, we want to bring Him our best when we come together to worship Him. At the same time, we understand that everyone's "best" doesn't always look the same. We recognize that all people are different and often come from different backgrounds. No matter what, we have this in common: we all need Jesus! We know you will feel welcomed in our assembly, but, don't take our word for it - come and find out!
You may notice a few things as you come into our assembly
  • There's no piano and no choir. Our worship is focused on praise, not entertainment.
  • The Bible is read and preached. We follow Jesus Christ alone.
  • We remember Christ's death weekly through the taking of the Lord's Supper.
  • We give each week. As a guest, your presence is your gift!
  • Preaching on a level that is meant to be understood by all. "How can they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14).
  • We're not afraid to ask the hard questions. If we can't bring our greatest struggles to God, where can we bring them at all?

Come worship with us. You'll be glad you did.
